Having your chimney cleaned every year ensures there is no build up or obstructions that could cause a fire.
In addition, many Insurance Companies require your Chimney to be cleaned annually by a WETT certified technician to ensure the validity of your policy.

Absolutely.  Even if you didn't use your fireplace much ,or at all, it should be cleaned and inspected EVERY year.  Birds, Squirrels and other Critters will take advantage of an unused fireplace and build their nests in your Chimney. 
 This can be very dangerous when you begin the first fire of the season.

Priest Chimney Sweep does NOT charge extra for a full inspection.  It is part of our service.  Our main priority is your family's safety.
A thorough inspection identifies any potential problems that lie in your future, so they can be corrected BEFORE it becomes an issue.

The bigger question is SHOULD you clean it yourself?
Safety should be your first concern.  An experienced technician can identify potential problems and can make the necessary repairs to prevent potentially dangerous situations.
